2019. BEST. YEAR. EVER. and my theme and desire is to help everyone whom I encounter to “CREATE THE HEALTH, WELLNESS, BODY, & LIFE YOU LOVE.” Here, at GIA Wellness, our co-CEO & Global Phenomenal Woman, Lynda Cormier’s says, “Live Your Best Day, Every Day.”
In GIA Wellness’ customary and extraordinary generosity, in the first 60 days of 2019, we have been given an opportunity to win thousands of $$$ of prizes for making transformational changes in our lives. See the 2019 GIA Transformational Challenge here: https://www.giawellness.com/2/promotions/kotm-january-2019/
Beginning a brand new year, with an opportunity to win BIG may be the jumpstart some of us need to give the desires of our hearts what they need to flourish.
Our dreams & the desires of our hearts are like our own children. They are our very own. They deserve the precious resources of our time, attention, nurturing, and love to bring them to life and ensure they grow and flourish. Whether we have born biological children or not is irrelevant, as our hearts give life every day to support ourselves and others in uncountable ways.
This, perhaps, is the theme of my blog and reflects my desire to inspire others to live the life that our hearts call us to live when we listen to our own yearnings, promptings, and “wacky” ideas. First, we must know that we are pure genius and potential. God made us that way. In His image. Our journey is to know that we are worthy and to figure out what resources, disciplines, nurturing and love our dreams need.
Live Worthy. Love YOU.

Getting My Butt in Gear — Embracing The GIA Challenge 2019
When GIA Wellness announced over $6000 in prizes to be awarded for its 60-day Growth, Inspiration & Abundance Challenge on January 1st, I knew I was IN. I LOVE A CHALLENGE! Did you say,”CONTEST?” YAY! I felt like the family Labrador when someone gets the leash and says, “Wanna go walk?!” But this challenge was different, it was a pick-a category (or more) and “design-your-own” challenge. Hmmm. Well, I decided I wanted to do all three: Growth, Inspiration AND Abundance!
I started by digging into reading The Leader Who Had No Title: A Modern Fable On Real Success In Business And In Life,” by Robin Sharma. And I committed to reading it through – slowly and twice, taking extensive notes and incorporating the lessons into my life and GIA business. I rewrote my Affirmations and committed to reading them every day. I committed to embracing and becoming more active on social media and creating tools and trainings for GIA consultants. I committed to those, but the easiest for me to do was to hit the physical challenge.
I figured if I wanted to get my butt in gear, I better go get a butt. Really.
So I started the physical challenge: to take my 112 pound thin-fit body and gain 8-10 lbs by building lean muscle mass. My plan was to build my strength and bulk in my legs, backside and my upper body and, literally, to GET A BE-HIND! I was excited! I mean I had set out to get an actual butt that could be seen on my skinny backside! I began the “Growth” part of my challenge by using the GIA Wellness products: iThrive, Cleanse, i-Nourish, Edge, & Lean Protein , & doubling my calories to 2500, with quality foods to optimize at about 120 grams of protein, 300 g carbohydrates, and 80 g high quality fats.
I read up on building lean muscle for women: READ AN ARTICLE I FOLLOWED HERE
I consulted with a fitness instructor at my gym for the best muscle building exercises and tips on building mass.
I took a Body Mass Index test And I hit the gym! HARD. I enjoyed the sweat, the leg presses, curls and multiple GIA LEAN shakes per day. I found myself enthusiastically spending time at the gym that was encroaching on my work time. hmmm.
While many use the GIA LEAN to lose weight, by using protein shakes to substitute for meals and by minimizing calories, I decided to ADD Lean to shakes as well as my carb recipes for waffles, muffins, etc to give me more quality protein to meet my large protein needs, and benefit from the added dietary fiber to help keep me regular.https://www.giawellness.com/51090/products/giatrim/giatrim-lean-vanilla/

Just over a week into my rigorous regime, I was already seeing results – my derriere was getting larger and I was gaining weight and building muscle. I was stoked! Then I started to feel pain in my hip. The diagnosis: Tendinitis and a possible disk issue in my lower back. I had overdone it. I had injured myself. I needed to rest.
One of Lynda Cormier’s and our mantras here at GIA is to “BE INTENT IN YOUR VISION AND FLEXIBLE IN YOUR APPROACH.” I had to laugh in the midst of pain, as I realized that maybe the real gift from my GIA Wellness Challenge was not about my own physical change, but to “get my butt in gear” to creating a way of life that better serves me, my gifts and those whose lives I am meant to impact. The “GIFT” of this “boulder in my path” injury was that it put me back on track. The real focus of my GIA Challenge 2019 was transformed. Now, I had to target my efforts and unleash my own creativity in service of helping share growth, inspiration, and abundance with so many who are yearning to live healthier, happier and more prosperous lives. Also, I wanted to serve the phenomenal GIA “family” and inspire them to accomplish their own goals and serve their dreams, on purpose. How could I possibly contain and communicate everything that was bursting inside of me?
As I sought to get my arms around the GIA Challenge 2019 in a big way, was how could I possibly document every aspect of my GIA challenge activities in a way that would best serve my personal and larger purposes? I knew a simple before and after, with a video two would not possibly be enough to help me communicate everything I was going to follow through on. My next idea: Create a GIA Wellness blog – devoted to GIA Wellness, documenting and giving glimpses into the products, the personal development and inspiration, as well as the the freedom available to us by engaging in meaningful ways with GIA Wellness. I dedicated myself to creating something that would exemplify all things GIA – that would be a container for my enthusiasm and my self- expression, serve the GIA Wellness field, and enable the online world to get a meaningful glimpse into the extraordinary GIA Wellness universe. I took a webinar, bought the blog name and got started. Here, for you, is my work in progress. Enjoy. Be inspired and I hope this helps you “create the health, wellness, body & life you love” on our way to making 2019 our BEST YEAR EVER!
